G-PKS PRO EX

The G-PKS PRO EX parabolic microphone is a professional portable parabolic microphone for long range listening of speech as well as human voice conversations.

As customary with both Spectradome’s and our products, all the microphone components have been manufactured according to the highest quality standards in the industry and the parabolic microphone system design has been specifically taylored to suit human voice listening, monitoring and recording purposes.

The G-PKS PRO EX parabolic microphone electronics are specifically gauged to deliver the highest possible sensitivity when listening to human voice frequencies.

In comparison with the standard G-PKS PRO 1 version, the advanced “EX” version offers the following unprecedented features:

• full suite of accessories included, including a professional tripod and parabolic microphone holder for stationary operation
• top-quality acoustics and electronics, with increased sensitivity
• audio recording encryption and password protection thanks to
• a special, encrypted laptop for secure storage of digital voice recordings
• easy-to-use audio post-processing software to enhance and improve audio signal and quality of recordings

System comes complete with a full suite of accessories, including a dedicated digital voice recording monitoring and listening system, allowing both real time monitoring and recording.

The G-PKS PRO EX professional parabolic microphone features a special, embedded hi-pass acoustic filter which will cut off all noise below 70Hz, thus preserving intact the full range of human voice frequencies, while at the same time proving to be extremely rejective to rumble and noise interference.

An adjustable electronic amplification gain, combined with an electronic voice compander and another additional electronic low-cut filter which can be turned on or off according to need, allow the G-PKS PRO EX professional parabolic microphone to become extremely sensitive even at low amplification gains (please see the demo recordings section below).

The supplied SPECTRADOME Audiostation laptop, makes it possible to post-process the portable digital recording unit files to enhance target voice, while at the same time keeping all the files securely stored and encrypted.

Last but not least, the supplied foldable professiona tripod with tripod holder make stationary operation as easy as pie.

PROFESSIONAL PARABOLIC MICROPHONE DEMO RECORDINGS

The following demo recordings have all been obtained over a 150mt distance, while listening to a target person speaking in the direction of the G-PKS PRO EX professional parabolic microphone.
There is a tall metallic fence on the listenin path, standing in between the target person speaking and the G-PKS PRO EX professional parabolic microphone.
The target person says: “This is Spectradome G-PKS PRO EX recording me at the distance of one hundred and fifty meters”.

is the original one (i.e.: without any post-processing enhancement applied) coming directly from the G-PKS PRO EX professional parabolic microphone digital voice recording unit.
It has been intentionally recorded with a low amplification gain (the targe person speaking was however fully intelligible through the system earphones), with the aim to demonstrate microphone sensitivity. You may need to use a pair of earphones and turn your volume to the max, to hear more clearly.

It has been intentionally recorded with a low amplification gain (the targe person speaking was however fully intelligible through the system earphones), with the aim to demonstrate microphone sensitivity and, this time, selectivity and rejection to noise interference as well.
Around the time 31s, you can hear the microphone capturing a target person speaking while an A320 AIRBUS airliner approaches, on a take-off spiral above our heads.
You may need to use a pair of earphones and turn your volume to the max, to hear more clearly.
