G-PKS PRO 2

The G-PKS PRO 2 HR is a special parabolic microphone, capable to operate in areas where voice monitoring operations may encounter a higher temporary level of acoustic interference.

As a matter of fact, “HR” actually stands for Higher Rejection to noise interference.

The G-PKS PRO 2 HR electronics are different in comparison with the standard G-PKS PRO 1 version and its capture pattern is also different.

All the modifications have the purpose to allow the microphone to better focus on target voice whenever a temporary acoustic interference is also present in the listening scenario.

As customary with both Spectradome’s and our products, we manufacture all the microphone components according to the highest quality standards in the industry.

The parabolic microphone system design is specifically taylored to suit human voice listening, monitoring and recording purposes.

The parabolic microphone electronics are specifically gauged to deliver the highest possible sensitivity when listening to human voice frequencies.

System comes complete with a full suite of accessories, including a dedicated digital voice recording monitoring and listening system.

The included digital voice recording system also allows both real time monitoring and recording.

PARABOLIC MICROPHONE DEMO RECORDINGS

Original demo recording from G-PKS PRO 2 HR unit: the following original demo recording comes straight from the G-PKS PRO 2 HR parabolic microphone unit at 96Kbps sampling (highest available recording quality) without any post-processing; owing to that, it may take a while to load/play since it is a 54Mb file.

Demo recording conditions are the following:

1. the target speaks with a very normal/normal-to-low tone of voice, like when two people talk to each other in a closed room with no acoustic interference factors that may compel to raise your voice;
2. target is being monitored OUTDOORS, on a straight line, 80 or more meters away from the G-PKS PRO 2 HR parabolic microphone;
3. the G-PKS PRO 2 HR microphone is being fully handheld and the operator is moving during speech monitoring;
4. continuous road traffic nearby (at 20 to 50 meters away from the target), from time 0:01 to 1:10 and from time 1:54 to 2:09.

4. plane flying over test site, from time 0.01 to 1:15;
5. continuous road traffic nearby (20 meters away from the target), from time 1:44 to 2:08;
6. pedestrians, cyclists and road traffic nearby (20 meters away from target and listening post), from time 2:25 to 3:04.
